About me

Fiona Dunlop is a seasoned travel and food-writer who has been ‘abroad’ for much of her life. She doesn’t count countries but aims to dig deep beneath the surface of the places she visits. Food has increasingly become her focus, without forgetting art, architecture and design. Andalucia (Spain) is her second home, but French her second language!

Braved a cold, wet, strike-ridden night yesterday to see Marjorie Prime, a clever American play mixing avatars with humans - except that the four actors were all flesh & blood. Ingenious exploration of family relationships interweaving past & present.
Then it was out the 1870s door of the wonderful @menchocfactory through the drizzle to @arabicalondon - one of my favourite Middle Eastern restaurants tucked away in @boroughmarket. I just managed to scoff a delicious pistachio encrusted chicken thigh & down a smooth Lebanese red before we had to leap on a strike-free bus home. And the rain stopped
